Dear RFYS families,

 

Welcome to the 2021 Fall season.  As we approach the end of July, we are in full planning mode for the Fall.  Fields have been allocated; we have 35 Sponsors for all 38 teams and we are finalizing equipment and uniform orders.  Some divisions are short on volunteer coaches; if you can step up and help coach please update your status on our website (www.rfys.org) and/or contact our division coordinators.  The Coordinators' information is also on our website.  

 

Here are some important dates for the FALL:

8/20/21  Pre-season Coaches meeting

 

8/23/21 Tentative date for start of practices

 

8/28/21 Tentative start date for Kindergarten, U8 and U10.  For U10, we are pleased to announce that Elmwood Park AYSO will be playing with us.  The start date for U12, U14 and U19 is TBD.

 

9/18/21  Tentative date for the RFYS FALL FEST.

 

10/2/21  RFYS at Red Stars vs. Orlando Pride game.  Discounted tickets available on our website.  

 

We are pleased to announce that River Forest resident, Corey Kessler, will be our picture taker for the Fall, in lieu of the standard pictures, with his charitable project, PHOTOS FOR FOOD.   This is a fundraiser for BEYOND HUNGER and I hope everyone will join us in supporting this great cause. 

 

Reminder that RFYS will provide every player with a jersey, shorts and socks for the Fall season.  You need to provide shin guards for your player and we recommend that players wear soccer cleats to practices and games.  If anyone needs assistance with purchasing these items, please let us know. 

 

We have 470 players registered for the Fall.  We have room for a few additions but most divisions are getting closet to capacity.
